Visit with my cousin

Last night my cousin, Jocelyn, invited us over for dinner to her home in Los Altos. Jocelyn is 23 weeks pregnant, (6 weeks ahead of me). We had a great dinner with she and her husband, Bryan, and 2 1/2 year old daughter, Maya. We're both excited to be having a baby so close together.

I'll have the next picture posted later this week of my belly. Then on Thursday I'm headed to Santa Barbara for a wedding!! We are really looking forward to that! Well now I'm off to Cameron's brother's house for dinner. Bye for now...

17 Weeks

I can't believe I'm 17 weeks already! The weeks seem to be going by faster and faster now! But I'm still at that point where a lot of people don't notice I'm pregnant, or still can't believe it! If I don't hold my clothes around the stomach, its not as noticable. But I think in the upcoming weeks, people will start to notice...

First Baby Gift

Here is my first baby gift from my cousin, Kaitlin. Came from the San Diego Zoo. Can you tell??

Mystery Spot

We have a cousin in town from Tennessee right now, and we decided to take her to the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz. It was a very interesting day, and really messed with your mind! During the tour, the guide caught on that I was pregnant because he made some comments, "If you are pregnant, you might feel..." and my cousin, Kaitlin, and I looked at each other and grinned. He must have noticed right there. But we went through the whole tour and at the end they had a nice little surprise for us. He handed each person a bumper sticker. Now I know why I see those on so many cars! When he came to me, he handed me one, smiled...and handed me a 2nd one (for the baby)! It was so sweet, I had to post it for you all.

On Father's Day we went to Mudd's for a brunch. And we had a family photo shoot in the garden at Mudd's, following the brunch. What a beautiful day, and they garden is in full bloom. This was our mom's Mother's Day gift, but we ended up taking the photos on Father's Day. So that worked out nice. But we had a whole assortment oh photos, the whole family, sisters, siblings, Cameron and me, etc. So I'll be sure to show you some in a few weeks. It was actually our wedding photographer, Christine, that took all the photos. She was great!

16 Weeks!

Hello everyone,

Well I at at 16 weeks. I went to the doctor's today and heard the heartbeat again. Its funny how each time I hear it, I get some relief because then I know everything is alright. 4 weeks really is a long time to have to wait! Now I have to wait until 20 weeks for my next appointment, but it'll be a good one! This will be the appointment where they should be able to tell me the gender, do all the measurements, and make sure everything looks good. Cameron will be at that appointment for sure!

So as you can see from the picture, I've definitely grown...and I LOVE it! I read over the next 3 weeks the baby will double in weight and size! I'll keep you posted.

15 weeks

Well I am now at 15 weeks! Only one more week until my next doctor appointment! I'm going to try to officially post a new picture every Thursday because that is the day I move into the next week. We have a busy weekend ahead of me. Cameron and I are getting a tour of Valleycare Hospital's Birthing Center tonight. Friday we're going to Bancheros with Cameron's family for his birthday. Saturday we're doing a BBQ with friends for his birthday. Sunday, the boys will be recovering. Monday my family is taking Cameron to Blackhawk Grille. Then by Tuesday I think we can come up for a breath. But it will be fun! I just hope I have the energy for all of this!

Almost 15 weeks

Hi everyone!

Here is what I currently look like. I don't even think I look this big when I look at myself in the mirror! My next appointment is 16 weeks, which falls on next Thursday the 15th. I'm continuing to feel pretty close to normal these days. I still don't like the smell of the grill though. I am finding myself looking at baby furniture, among many other things! It is making me really want to know if this is a boy or girl now! And I'll probably have to wait until 20 weeks, unless my doctor gives me an early one at 16 weeks, which is doubtful. She is only scheduled to listen to the heartbeat that day (I called and asked today)...and I don't want to seem pushy!
