Well, as you can see, my mom and I had fun taking Kenna's first Christmas photos. She has grown so much lately. I see Cameron more and more in her! Cameron is still helping a lot. Its nice having each other to lean on when we need it. She still melts our hearts everyday!

Kenna Days

Well Kenna has been adjusting very well at home. As you can see, she sleeps a lot, and she loves her Dad's shoulder... She's been an absolute delight. Its amazing, just the other day she was in a lot of pain from gas, and I was feeling just a little frustrated because there was nothing I could do to make make her gas pain go away immediately (and that makes me want to cry for her), then as soon as she stopped crying and relaxed I wanted to cry just looking at her because of the love I felt for her. Its overwhelming at times, in a good way of course. She is starting to smile now! Its the cutest thing! Cameron is really glad now that he took this time off work to have all these first moments with her. I'll post some more photos soon, with her eyes open!

Kenna's First bath
My cousin, Jocelyn, gave me the best advice for giving Kenna a bath, to heat up the bathroom first to make it comfortable and warm for her. As you can see, Kenna loved her first bath!

Video of Kenna
Here is a video clip for you. Now you can see how entertained we are by her! We just love her. I almost cried watching her breast feed yesterday! What an amazing feeling...

Kenna McLeod Riach

Our new addition arrived on Monday morning! Her name is Kenna McLeod Riach. She was delivered by C-Section, and the whole procedure couldn't have gone more smoothly! Everything moved really fast as soon as we arrived at the hospital. Alicia came to the hospital at 6:30 AM, and she was able to be with me and Cameron in the Pre-Op AND the O.R. for the birth! She knew the anesthesiologist from surgeries she's been in, and he allowed her to come in. We were so thrilled to have her a part of it with us. I was given a spinal (which didn't hurt at all!) and Kenna was born about 5 minutes after that! My doctor was sure this baby was going to be small because of how small I still looked, but she turned out to be 7 pounds 15 ounces! They said I really was "all baby". We stayed in the hospital until Friday morning. Our stay at the hospital was really nice. Cameron stayed every night with me, sleeping in a very uncomfortable hospital chair that folded out into a bed. Because I was unable to do pretty much anything, Cameron did it all! He was changing every diaper, getting up to tend to her every need, taking care of me... He was incredible. Now we are home, and he is still taking care of me and the baby. But I did make him pancakes this morning! I'm doing great, and the pain medication is really helping. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
Love, Cameron, Karen, and Kenna

39 Weeks

Well this will probably be the last photo I post of me being pregnant! I got a haircut and a pedicure yesterday. It'll be the last time I do those things in a while, so I figured I better get it done! We'll try to post some photos of the baby from the hospital, and keep you all updated. The C-Section is scheduled for Monday morning at 7:30 AM...only 4 days away! This time has just flown by! I haven't even had time to get nervous about this yet. I'm sure I'll be plenty nervous as I am getting admitted though. Cameron will be my stable one to lean on.
If you are planning on coming to the hospital (or calling) you should do so after 12 noon. I'll be in surgery for about 30 minutes to an hour (start to finish), then moved to the recovery room (and no one is allowed in there except Cameron). If the baby is in the nursery, no one is allowed in there except Cameron (all others can view through the glass). Then I'll be in recovery for a minimum of 1 1/2 hours, then moved to a post partum room after that (and we can have visitors). So we're guessing noon or later is the the best time to come by or call (if you are going to). Just know I might be a little out of it the first day (and in a lot of pain the 2nd day)! I'll be on pain medication. I'll be in the hospital for 4 days or so.
Well have a great Thanksgiving with your families. And I'll I'll keep you all updated.
~Love, Karen

38 Weeks

Well all is looking good right now. I went back in for my NST and ultrasound today. She's did great during the NST and her amniotic fluid went up to 11.31 (which is the highest its been). My OB and I talked, and we're scheduling my C-Section for Monday the 26th, the Monday after Thanksgiving! Now it seems so close! Cameron only has 4 days left of work now, because the Wednesday before Thanksgiving will be his last day!
I posted the photos that Christine Glebov took of me (also my wedding photographer). She is an incredible photographer, as you can see! http://www.christineglebov.com/ is her website if you are shopping for a photographer.
I'll keep you posted if anything changes.

37 Weeks

Its hard to believe I only have 3 weeks left until my due date. After Cameron took this picture, I asked "Do I really look this pregnant???" and he said yep! I forget what I look like sometimes. I know, its funny! Cameron and I are getting more and more excited... Cameron has been great throughout my pregnancy! Last night he just walked over out of the blue and gave me a foot massage. I just about melted!
I told my OB that I'm not comfortable with trying to turn the baby, so its looking like we'll have a planned cesarean (if she stays breech). Maybe we'll have a date soon. I'm starting to get my hospital bag packed, so we'll be ready to go if something comes up.
I went in today for another Non Stress Test (NST), and she "passed". Now I'll continue going in for 2 NST's a week, and an ultrasound once a week to check the fluids. So it'll be Monday and Thursdays that all this will take place. Its been kind of nice because I'm in the Labor and Delivery ward for the NST's , so I'm getting a lot of questions answered. One thing I'm not too thrilled about is if I have a cesarean, I'll be in a OR Recovery room (4 day recovery in hospital), not the nice decorated birthing suites. But I guess the ones going through all the pain of labor and delivery deserve those rooms!
Until next time...

Doing better...
I wanted to give you all an update. I went back to the hospital for more tests this morning. She did great during the non-stress test. Then during the ultrasound I found out that her amniotic fluids went up to 9.5 (they were at a 6 on Friday night, and below 5 is when there is reason for concern). They want the level to be above 8. They said to continue drinking lots of water, which I've been doing. I'll be seeing my OB on Wednesday, and have more follow up tests done on Thursday.
I am on my first day of maternity leave today! Exciting. I'll be getting all the last minute things done. And I'm also making an appointment with AAA this week for car seat installation safety. Can't ever be too safe!
I'll keep you updated...

Low Amniotic Fluid
So Friday was an interesting day! I scheduled a medical ultrasound to see the growth of the baby, and I double booked my appointment so I could get in yesterday. The place is totally filled up for the next few weeks, and if I wanted to get it done soon, so my choice was to double book. So they fit me in yesterday at 3:45 in Fremont. During the appointment they said they could see the size was good (6 1/2 pounds!), and the bad news was she's breech (which I knew) and I had LOW amniotic fluid. And the doctor said because of that he wanted me to get a Non-Stress test at the hospital that night or Saturday. So he called my doctor and told her what the results of the ultrasound were, and I talked to her, and she wanted me to go straight to the hospital. She said that we need to see the baby's heartbeat and see if she was in any distress, and we'll do a non-stress test every 3 days, and monitor her. She said they will monitor her and if she's not doing well, we're taking her out (early delivery)! So its good thing I got the appointment yesterday! My mom was with me the whole time , and she drove me to Valleycare Hospital next. Cameron was now leaving the city and on his way to the hospital. I was trying to just hold it all together, but I was definitely frazzled, and shaky. Everything at the hospital went fine, and she did wonderful during the test. I guess they want to see that every time she moves, her heart rate goes up...which it did. So ,of course, right when I was done, Cameron arrived at BART (I told him everything looked fine, and I was going home), so I just met him at home. I'm glad the nights over, and that everything is ok. Now I get to go in for another ultrasound (to check the amniotic fluid) and a non-stress test Monday morning. Then again 3 days later.
So its a good thing that Friday was my last day of work because I have to do this test every 3 days. I'm not sure how long they'll continue it for...the remainder of the pregnancy or just until they see that everything is fine? We'll see.
After finding all of this out, I don't think I want to do an External Verion (where my OB tries to turn her into position). I think I want to let her move into position on her own. She might be breech for a reason, and I don't want to do anything that is not natural. The cord is near her neck right now, but not wrapped around it, and my fear is that if we try to turn her, the cord could wrap itself around her neck, or could detach from the placenta, etc. So I just want to let her be. And also knowing that my amniotic fluid is low, I don't want to do anything to cause distress with low fluid to move around in. I'm still deciding, but it looks like a planned cesarean around my due date would be best. I really don't feel like she's going to move on her own. She's been in this position for quite some time now, and seems quite comfortable. Her arm and one leg have been up around her face since 20 weeks, and I'm at 36 weeks now. Seems like she's in that position for a reason...
It was a little bit of a frightening night, and I'm glad everything turned out positive. And I'm glad to know she's at 6 1/2 pounds if anything were to happen!

35 Weeks

Now only 5 weeks to go! I still can't believe it! I know its crazy, but I still wake up every morning and can't believe I'm pregnant! Well we all know my hands have started swelling. Its not the kind of swelling you would be able to even notice, but I feel it (very sore) and my ring is getting tighter. I haven't been wearing my real ring for quite a while now, and this one (larger size) is now leaving marks. And I just realized that my feet have started swelling. I wasn't even aware of it. I even put on a new pair of shoes that I bought a while ago, and they were too tight. I just assumed I bought them and they were too tight but I didn't notice at the time.... I thought I'd be giving them away. Then my sister-in-law pointed out to me that my feet were swollen, and I was arguing with her that they were not. Then the more I thought about it and the more I looked at them, she was right! My feet don't hurt at all, but the more I look at them closely, I can barely tell they are a little tiny bit swollen.
But overall I'm still feeling fine. Sometimes I'm feeling a little more worn out earlier in the day. I've had mild heartburn a few times now (thank god only a few times). Sleeping is still interesting, and I always feel like I could have gotten more. She is moving a lot now, and its big movements. She's still in breech position. Next week I'm getting an ultrasound so my doctor can see her position at 36 weeks. I'm LOVING my prenatal massages on Mondays. I really think it is whats going to get me through the end of this pregnancy with much less pain that I would have been in.
I posted two photos taken back to back so you can see how different I look, even with the same shirt on. On the second one I just made sure the shirt was up against my skin so you could really see the shape. Big difference, isn't it!

34 Weeks

Well for those of you who look forward to the post each week, sorry I didn't do anything last week. I have been dealing with a lot of back pain! My back pain got so bad that I was walking around my house, gasping for air in pain, scared to take another step. Don't even get me started on how much the stairs killed me! I took a day off work this week because of it, and went to a Massage Therapist (that my OB referred me to) who works with a lot of pregnant women, and she massaged my back and sciatica, and did some stretches with me....and it helped my back sooooooo much! So I'll be seeing her every Monday now! I was thinking if this pain didn't go away, this might be the reason I have to take my maternity leave in two weeks. Can you believe I can already take my leave starting in just two weeks if I wanted to! I think I'll try to keep working as long as I'm comfortable. I hear from plenty of women that I will be bored out of my mind!
But on a more positive note, I'm feeling worlds better today. I had my 34 week appointment, and everything looks great. Baby is still in breech position. In two weeks, my OB is sending me for an ultrasound to get the exact position of the baby, and we'll go from there. After my 36 week appointment, I'll start seeing my OB once a week! Exciting!
Cameron and I have still not agreed on a name yet for the baby. He sure is picky. Or am I picky? Hmm...

Name Change?

Hello there... These are two handmade sweaters that I received, and I just love them! You don't see this kind of thing much anymore! So I thought I'd share!
I also wanted to warn you all now that we might be changing the name, Kayden. These are a few reasons:
1. The spelling is Arabic.
2. The spelling, Caden is English or Irish. We've heared it in both culture's, and it means "spirit of battle". We don't think its quite appropriate for a girl.
These are just a couple of the reasons we are possibly going to change the name. I think it might just be a surprise with what we do settle on!

32 Weeks
Everything is still going fine with the pregnancy. My OB is not going to worry about the baby being breech until after 36 weeks. Still plenty of time to turn. I gained 2 pounds over the last 2 weeks. But my doctor still wants me to eat small amounts of food several times a day OR meals loaded with more calories (for the baby's growth). I'm still only able to eat 3 meals a day, and have no room in my stomach to snack in between. I am just going to continue doing what my body wants. I still wouldn't call it a craving, but I am really enjoying red grapes lately! Thats usually what I eat on when I get home, or after dinner to satisfy a sweet tooth. We'll be going to Fleet Week tomorrow with Cameron's brother, Kevin, and his wife Margo. I'm really looking forward to doing that. I used to go every year, but haven't been in a while. I usually brought a bottle of wine everytime I went, so I will be missing that this year! But there are so many other things to enjoy with the day. So if any of you are going to be there, call my cell if you want to meet up!

31 Weeks

Well 31 weeks has arrived. Here is our latest ultrasound. We did a 3D ultrasound last week, and she had her arm covering her face the entire time! The girl was nice enough to give us a complimentary session tonight to make up for it! We got much better views, as you can see. Her arm was still up around her face the whole time, and her leg was sticking up and her foot was also right by her head. Apparently its already pretty tight in there for her.The skin on my stomach is definitely getting tighter these days. My skin is even tighter around my ribs, because its being pulled to the front I guess. Right now, our baby is in breech position. I read at 32 weeks, whatever position she is in is probably the position she'll stay in. There's always a chance she'll still move into position (head down) between now and my due date, and even when I am in labor, but who knows. I'm not too concerned about it. I still have lots of time.
The baby room is coming along. We've filled it in with lots of new items and new clothes in the closet! Cameron and I will be putting the crib together this weekend (maybe I'll just assist)! We are getting more and more excited each day. 2 more months to go...

30 Weeks

Wow. I can't believe I am already 30 weeks!! I just went to my 30 week appointment today, and I've had no weight gain since my last appointment 2 weeks ago. How does that happen!! I think its because I only eat about 3 small meals a day, and don't snack too much in between. My doctor said I could gain a few more pounds. So I am going to try to snack more between my meals to get a little more food in that stomach of mine!
Cameron and I are very excited because we are going to Life's First Image tomorrow evening for my last 3D/4D ultrasound! This should be a good session, and a LOT more clear than the last one! It'll just be me and Cameron at this appointment, so that will be very special to both of us. I'll be sure to post pictures right away!
I'm still feeling great overall. Sleeping is getting interesting. It is getting harder and harder to find that comforable position to fall asleep in. I am feeling like I want more and more room in the bed! And I'm sick of waking up in the middle of the night with the urge to go to the bathroom. I don't even want to drink anything past 7:00 at night because of it! But don't worry, I'm still enjoying the pregnancy!

Starbucks Encounter
Well I went into Starbucks this morning. I was waiting for my drink and this man walks over to me. He looks at me very seriously as he places his hand on my arm, and says "Did you mother ever tell you not to eat watermelon seeds?" I was a little confused, and said "I really don't know..." and he said "Well you had better stop eating them..." and I said "What do you mean", and he said "Well you have a watermelon growing in you." This gave me a good laugh because I thought he was coming over to tell me the dangers of drinking coffee while I'm pregnant, and I was all ready to be annoyed!

Crib Bedding

A lot of people are asking me what the colors scheme is going to be in my baby's room, and I've been telling you I'm using the "Sugar Plum" bedding set (purple, pink, and brown). Well my mom recently found a beautiful baby quilt, and I really like it. I couldn't pass on such a nice handmade quilt! Then I was lucky enough to find this bumper at Pottery Bark Kids! What a find! Couldn't ask for a better match! So I am now going to use this for the crib. I am going to be taking the Sugar Plum bedding set off my registry (Babys R Us), and I'll use this quilt for the crib instead. So take a good look at this, and you can get an idea of the colors I'll try to use. Its hard to say what my color scheme is going to be now, I guess I would just say more bold colors. Just wanted to post a photo for you to see...

29 Weeks

From the doctors mouth, I am just over 7 months! I just entered my 3rd trimester last week! She said my due date will fall on 9 1/2 months. I've noticed for a while now with my belly size, its a little more difficult for me to get off the couch when I am laying down on it. Cameron just now commented on this a few days ago as he watched how difficult it was for me to get off the couch! I laughed, and said yeah its been this way for a few weeks now.
I'm definitely at the point in my pregnancy where people know I'm pregnant, they don't wonder anymore. I'm still not having any pregnancy cravings yet. I've always LOVED Mexican food, and it has continued to be a favorite through my pregnancy. Alicia brought me my favorite burrito from a place in Modesto yesterday for lunch (El Rosal), and we ate lunch together at the hospital. She also brought fried FLOUR tortilla chips...heavenly! I could only eat 1/4 of the burrito before feeling full. Typical.
Bye for now...
P.S. My next, and last, 3d/4D ultrasound is next Friday (at 30 weeks). This one should be VERY clear. We can't wait.

28 Weeks

I'm still feeling great, but you can tell I look a little tired in this picture (taken last night). I was wiped out last night as I went to bed.
Dates and numbers:
There are 83 days until your due date on November 29, 2007.
You are 197 days pregnant.
You are 6.5 months pregnant. (Going off the idea that my due date falls on exactly 9 months)
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy. (huh?)
If I was going off the 10 month pregnancy (starting with my last period), I'd be 7 months!
If I was going off the 9 month pregnancy (meaning my due date would be exactly 9 months) I'd be 6.5 months.
You decide. We all know I'm due Nov. 29th, in less than 3 months already!
Now I actually feel like I really look pregnant! I know I've looked a little pregnant before today, but all of a sudden I think I look a lot bigger. Cameron even noticed how much bigger I looked as we were sitting at the dinner table the other night. It was right after I ate a whole turkey sandwich! I now, large dinner huh. I was so stuffed, I felt like my dinner was all sitting at the top of my stomach, which is where my stomach sits now, right on top of the uterus! Strange feeling to feel so full so high up in the stomach!
So for now, everything is going great. I'm going in for my 28 week appointment today. Only 12 more weeks!
Until next time...

27 Weeks Cont.
We're back from OR and back to working. We had a great time. My favorite part was the Coos Bay area, and Cameron's favorite part was the jet boat ride on the Rogue River. What beautiful scenery the Rogue River had out of Gold Beach. We even saw two people catch a salmon right when we were leaving the bay (where the river meets the ocean) The river was 70 degrees, and there were lots of people camping along it. It made me really want to be camping and swimming!
Well here are some facts about my pregnancy up to today:
Dates and numbers:
There are 85 days until your due date on November 29, 2007.
You are 195 days pregnant.
You are 6.4 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy. (huh?)
Your 1st trimester: February 22, 2007 to May 23, 2007. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: May 24, 2007 to September 05, 2007. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: September 06, 2007 to November 29, 2007. (28 - 40 weeks)
She can now open and close her eyes, and she sleeps and wakes at regular intervals (which I've noticed). She may suck her fingers, and although her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with assistance — if she were to be born prematurely.
I've been fortunate enough to experience leg cramps! I woke in in the morning and was yawning and stretching...and all of a sudden my calf cramped up. I immediately started to massage it, but it wouldn't stop for about 10 seconds. Then the next two days it was sore! Not fun. And I'm reading this is common....oh how fun! Now I have to be careful every time I stretch my legs when I am stretching in bed!
I'll post my updated picture on Thursday. I'm glad to hear that all of you are enjoying the updates. Until Thursday...

27 Weeks

Well here is the man who did this to me! What a cutie!
As you can see, I'm continuing to grow. This morning the baby woke up with me. I woke up and was laying there, wishing I could sleep just a little longer...and then the baby kicked pretty hard all of a sudden, and I saw the sheet laying on my belly pop up from the kick! Pretty neat. Its all the little things that put a smile on my face.
Cameron and I are heading out for a little road trip tomorrow morning to Southern Oregon. We'll be gone until Sunday or Monday. We'll see if we still want to beat the traffic on Sunday, or enjoy one more day and drive home on Monday. We're heading up to Ashland tomorrow and staying the night. Then Thursday we'll go explore Crater Lake, and drive on to Coos Bay. If you didn't know, I was born in Coos Bay, OR, in the Bay Area Hospital. Funny, huh? My dad was stationed there at the time, then he was stationed in Alabama and California, and then back to Coos Bay, OR when I was finishing up 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. So I'll show Cameron my school, and some other memories of the area. Next we're planning on driving on to Gold Beach on Saturday, and might take a Jet Boat ride on the Rogue River, and do some sight seeing. Then Sunday we'll enjoy driving down the coast back into CA. Cameron wants to go to Avenue of the Giants to see the tallest tree in the world (Redwoods). So much to do, so little time. But we're really looking forward to it because it will be the last vacation we'll have, just the two of us, before we have a baby! It'll be a fun time.
Until next week...

25 Weeks

Sorry its late. I've been wanting to take a photo in front of this waterfall for a while now. Cameron had fun out there with the camera. This was our favorite photo.
I also posted a photo of the dresser that Alicia gave us for the baby room. And Cameron did a great job painting the baby room. He really wouldn't let me do much. He's going to do a little touching up today, and we'll start arranging what little furniture we have in there. It makes me feel better that this is now something we don't have ahead of us. One thing off the list!
I'm still feeling great these days. I love seeing my growing belly everyday, and the way Cameron looks at me differently now... I have a great man! I can't believe we are going to be a family soon! I'm just imagining a little girl sitting at the kitchen table with us soon enough...crazy thought! How are lives are going to change! Can you tell I'm looking forward to it??

6 Months!!

I cannot believe I am already 6 months. Suddenly it feels like I'm really far into the pregnancy! Most people at this point probably think I look pregnant, but won't dare say anything yet because they still aren't quite certain. Its funny, the floor that I work on has several women who all have to wonder (I see them looking) but are all to polite to ask. Because my god, what if they were wrong! Makes me laugh. But last week in the mall at Sephora a woman gave me a sample of some cream and said I could rub it on my belly, and asked if it was a boy or girl... and I loved it! She was the first one who was confident enough to say something to me about it, and she was certain! So at that point, I knew I really looked pregnant. Cause I swear, certain clothes don't show it!
Well I went to my OB today, and everything looks great. Every test I've taken and all the ultrasounds this far are all normal. She measured from my bellybutton down today and said the size of my belly was good. Then as she was listening to the heartbeat, she started telling me she knew I was going to have the cutest baby, she just knew... cute like a Gerber baby. That put a big smile on my face.
Until next week...

23 weeks

Cameron swears I grew overnight. He couldn't believe how much bigger I looked when he got home yesterday! In this picture I am wearing a new kind of maternity pants for me, an under the belly waist band. We'll see how I like that... I'm still feeling great. I'm trying Flinstones Vitamins right now instead of the Prenatal because I'm just sick of the prenatal making me get sick still. I'll talk to my OB about that next Thursday.
I know I've been telling everyone that it looks like we're settling on the name, Kaelyn...but I want to let you know now Kayden is in the lead right now! Personally, I've always liked that name better, and I am already starting to feel remorse and sadness at the thought of not naming her Kayden! So Kayden is a definite possiblity as of now.
Well I'm off to take Alicia and Lena to the airport right now. They are off to Arizona for a luxury weekend. Its the Top Producers reward at Lena's work (she qualified) and they are going to get just plain spoiled at the J.W. Marriott in Phoenix. Its a 5 Star resort, and all inclusive for them.
Until later...

22 Weeks

Here is a picture of me at 22 weeks, and a picture of a baby's development at 22 weeks (And no, it's not my baby). I can't believe yet another week has passed! I'm feeling great, besides the occassional upset from the prenatal still. It's the main thing that is continuing to make me sick off and on. I really don't like those prenatal pills! I just happen to one of the lucky ones who has a really sensitive body or stomach! I feel a lot more tired than I used to in the mornings, and it doesn't take much during the day to wear me out. But overall, I'd still say I'm feeling great, and in good spirits! Can you believe how big my stomach is now?? I love it!
I have a friend who just had a baby boy this morning!! Can't wait to meet him on Saturday. And I just found out another friend of mine is pregnant! Exciting times!
I found some interesting facts about the baby's development by 22 weeks:
- Your baby's senses are developing daily. The fetus now has a full complement of neurons in the brain and is learning about her body and surroundings through touch. Touch is one of the first senses to mature and your baby may stroke its face or feel her arms and legs. (Our baby moved her hands around a lot, and had her hands around her face during both the 20 week and 21 week ultrasound)
- The ovaries of female fetuses contain primitive egg cells, all of the eggs a woman will have for her entire life. The uterus of female fetuses is also fully formed.

3D Ultrasound

Well here she is at 21 weeks. As you can see, it is not that clear yet. I'm going to have another one done at 31 weeks, and that is the best time to get a clear view. If you look closely, you can see her hand up against her head. She had her hands around her face for most of the session. And she has those ankles crossed again. She yawned a few times for us, and it almost looked like she was smiling. I have a DVD too, but I have to figure out how to send that. Enjoy for now...

First Baby Clothes

These are the baby clothes I have bought so far. I was afraid to even buy one thing because I thought I'd open the flood gate and go out of control. There are just too many cute girl clothes! Don't worry, I'm keeping all of my receipts! So far, the little jean dress is my favorite! Just thought I'd share...

First Gift From Greece

We had dinner with our friends, Geoff and Christine, last night. We heard a wonderfully romantic story about how they became engaged in Santorini, Greece! I thought I would share, the brought us back our first pair of booties for the baby! I can't wait for her to wear them.
We're having out 3D/4D ultrasound done tomorrow, on Saturday. So we should have a link up soon for you to see the photos!
Bye for now...

21 Weeks

Well I'd say I definitely look pregnant now. Did I ever mention I felt the baby move? I started feeling it about two weeks ago. I was laying on the couch and I felt a few little quick bulge like feelings in my lower abdomen. Then I put my hand on my uterus and realized I was feeling little kicks. I never felt any flutter sensations or anything, I just felt the baby pushing on my uterus. It is the neatest feeling. When I told Cameron he came over and felt...and she pushed after about 20 seconds of waiting. I'm glad he was able to feel it the same night I felt it.
During the 20 week ultrasound we saw her completely stretch her legs out and really pushed into the uterine wall, but I didn't feel it at all. Strange. After they determined she was a girl, she crossed her legs (at her ankles), and wouldn't uncross the rest of the session. They said she weighed 14 oz. now.
Well this weekend I am having my 3D/4D ultrasound done, and I'll be able to share those photos soon. Bye for now...

20 Weeks

Well the day finally arrived, and we found out today that its a girl! I've had this feeling that it was a girl for a long time now. Cameron is very excited. He can't believe he is going to be a little girl's Dad! And as we all know, I am very excited. Cameron's family hasn't had a girl born in 20 years!!!! So this has been long awaited in his family. And do I even need to mention, my mom and dad are thrilled (especially my mom!).
